Can I export water or tea if Freight Express also sells water and tea?
Yes — absolutely, with no restrictions. We export our own brands of Ceylon water and tea, but that creates zero conflict with your shipment. We export YOUR water and YOUR tea under YOUR brand using the same trade lanes and documentation team. Many producers use third-party logistics companies that also handle competing products — it is entirely standard practice.
Do I need an export licence to export through you?
For most commodities, no separate export licence is required from you. We handle the ASYCUDA customs export entry on your behalf through our licensed clearing agents. Some regulated goods (e.g. wild fauna, certain pharmaceuticals) may need a specific permit — our team will flag this when you submit your inquiry.
What is the minimum quantity you will export?
There is no minimum. We handle single pallets through to full FCL containers. For very small volumes we may consolidate your cargo with other shipments (LCL) to reduce freight cost.
What Incoterms do you support?
We support all major Incoterms: FOB, CIF, EXW, DAP, DDP, CFR, FCA. We will recommend the most suitable terms based on your buyer's requirements and your production location.
How long does the export process take?
Ocean freight from Colombo typically takes 3–30 days depending on the destination. Documentation preparation takes 3–7 business days for standard goods. Air freight is 1–5 days transit. We'll give you a full timeline estimate after you submit your inquiry.
Can I brand the export packaging myself?
Yes. You supply your finished, packaged product and we handle the logistics. If you need assistance with private-label packaging coordination, let us know in your inquiry.
